Unending Story

Here I am Lord.
An unsensational solution
To someones need for entertainment
Dilemma or problem..
Like an old pair of shoes that cannot be worn to a party.
Or a dog eared book that has been read so many times.
An oft hugged teddy bear now on the shelf.
Like a lingering memory from an old photograph.
What a joyful thought that I am not the center of the Universe!
You alone Lord are the center of all things.
Great good and magnificent.
An exploding miracle of energy and passion
That will never be silenced.
It is all about You Lord.
Yet out of your great mercy and perfect wisdom
You use me in your unending story of creation.
To sometimes touch someone with your love.
You made us to want to keep using that old pair of shoes
That feel so comfortable.
That dog eared book refreshes and renews us again and again.
Or maybe that teddy bear may be just the right thing for someone in need.
Or a photograph that may remind us of someone that can be found again.
Every new minute you bring a new freshness to this world.
Pungent spring flowers.
A soft but cleansing morning dew.
The sweet and tender innocence of a sleeping new born baby.
How great you are Father to provide these things for us!
We are part of your great story and miracle.
You are the plot and we are a player.
To your sensational ending.
Of your unending story.

Waterfall

My mighty love is pouring down..
Covering the dry and barren places.
Soon you will see it everywhere.
Healing, renewal, and miracles.
My voice, and my song, and my image.
Will rise up for those who are seeking my answers.
I love you so. I will save those who call on my name.
I will care for the forgotten, the lonely, and the homeless.
They have a place in my heart.
I will pour out a river of revival and change.
This will be like a flood of life, and hope and strength.
Wisdom and wealth will be multiplied for those who will turn to me.
You will see what you have not seen before.
You will understand the old and the new.
There will be joy and dancing a sound of victory, for the desperate.
Yes a fountain of forgiveness for the sinner , yes hope and life.
Healing and new discoveries will come from my hand.
My light will shine into wickedness, and darkness will be revealed.
My heart cannot be restrained. I must save and deliver you.
For I hear your desperate cries for help for my healing and my salvation.
I love you, I love you so, and I will draw close to you.
My mighty name, and my powerful love will be manifested.
You will know what salvation means.
The name of Jesus will be on the lips of the people.
It is a name of power and holiness. and victory.
My great love is poured out. I will not hold it back.
You will see that I am a Great God.
Full of mercy and abounding in love.

destiny

Destiny is a word that comes in a gift wrapped package of mystery and surprise and fear. In fact we choose our destiny through our daily actions. We become what we think about and act upon. The choices that we make form a portrait of our lives. If we surrender these choices to God He will make a masterpiece of our lives that reflects His glory. We were not made to be ordinary and mundane. Each one of us are called and destined to be a unique treasure that reflects a different part of God's beauty and majesty.

Part of the evil one's plan is to make us feel ordinary, and worthless, and temporary. We are ground down by the daily grind of trouble and struggle. We are created to be a valued and prized and eternal part of the universe. God has formed our destiny with His own hands and sacrifice. If we surrender to God and trust Him we will succeed. Life without surrender will culminate in our pointless destruction. We are the treasure. The treasures of the Lord will last forever. The treasures of this world will rust and fade. Our destiny lies with our choice to surrender or not to surrender to God. Our destiny is a package that God wants to fill with priceless surprises. Destiny should be a welcome word, and not a terrifying one. A treasure with nothing in it is a pointless one indeed. An empty reminder of what might have been.

treasure

As we walk along the path of life, we meet many merchants trying to sell us just about everything. Buy this. You really need that. We are constantly in search of our next precious treasure. It is a daily passion of ours to find that special something or someone who will put us over the top. Our lives are filled with so many opportunties to buy the next treasure, if we but pay the cost. We seek to have power, prestige, authority, and peace. Jesus is our treasure. Jesus has already paid the price for the treasure. Blessed or happy will be the one who spends his or her life discovering the treasures of Jesus. They are for now and for forever. They are practical yet unbelieveable. They are intimate, yet vast and enduring. We can share them with others yet they are uniquely meant for us. Spend your energy and passion discovering the incredible treasure of Jesus. Let it fill you and consume you to overflowing. Let it be as your heart beat and breath to know this treasure. The greatest treasure in the universe. Let your passion discover the greatest passion of Jesus. Let your love feast upon the love of Jesus that is beyond all dimension or description. This treasure will birth new life in you and in others. Give this treasure away because there will always be much more to discover and give. We cannot outgive God. Jesus is the true treasure. What and who do we spend our time with? What will be the treasures that we offer up to God when we meet Him. Will these treasures last? How will we pass into eternity? For we will look like whatever treasures we so desired. What will our face look like when we behold the face of God?

Remember

Many words will be written about what happened five years ago today. We must still live a life of love, vigilance, and looking to Jesus in the days ahead. Jesus is the one who knows and guards our destiny. So my prayer is that we will both wait and act with courage. Our choices will become increasing difficult, but our rewards for wise actions will become greater. Let us hold fast to what unites us and carefully discern what divides us. May kindness and not quick judgement be our rule of thumb. We must face our enemies without fear, and trust that Almighty God has placed a greatness in us to handle every situation. We are not just living for now but our actions will have eternal consequences.

An earry lesson

Does Anybody Hear Me?

Listening. There are so many people talking, but so few people are listening. How did you feel the last time someone really listened to you? When was it? Can you even remember? Listening takes time which so few of us have. A willing heart to understand how someone feels. A minute for a hug, or a second for a smile are becoming more and more valuable. We are more lonely because we do not take the time to really listen to someone. Listening fosters acceptance, and being valued. We too often are proclaiming how important we are, instead of listening for how important someone else has become.

Good listening is about them, not about us. Listening is loving and loving is listening. How many good ideas have we missed, or relationships have we lost because of not listening? We are so alone yet so busy. Those who do not listen will have an empty heart, and an empty life.

You listened to me. It made me feel alive again. Thank you.

A New Identity

God created us for His pleasure and delight. We are loved perfectly by being just who we are, just because we were created by God. The greatest accomplishment that we achieve will come from choosing to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. All our other accomplishments are good but are paled by our decision to choose Christ as our Savior. God loves us each one, as the only creation that He ever made. Each one of us are regarded as infinitely precious and valuable. We as individuals are the apple of God's eye. Only God can love each one of us this perfectly and intensely. His eye is always upon us and His heart is always captured for the love of each one of us. Each one of us is uniquely cherished, treasured, and passionately loved as a priceless creation.

We have been created to fulfil our particular purpose. This purpose is no greater or less than others in the eyes of God. We so often view our importance and significance as judged by our fellow man rather than by God. How we fulfill the purpose that God has for us is the only one that will have eternal significance. If we could only ponder more often on how God views us rather than our how man views us. God' s purpose is to build His kingdom and to be with us forever. Thank you God.

Prayer before action is the beginning of wisdom. Prayer builds a foundation for wise actions and brings us closer to an ever listening and ever loving Father who controls the universe. Stay close to your Father and He will guide you safely through the morass of dangerous distractions and temptations. He wants to give you His wisdom every time you ask Him. Take a moment to tell God that you love Him during your day. Why not have a little more love to help you?

Someone like you does not come around often.

Your insight and compassion are a fresh breath of air. Your gentle face and tender touch give me strength to get up another day. I'd love to hear your voice, which encourages and inspires me. Your thoughts challenge me to view my problems in a different mind.

Your love has captured me and shaken my world. No one has ever loved me like this before. How could I ever believe that someone as wonderful as you could come into my life. I want to love you back as you have loved me. Your love has shown me that there is much more to life than I have ever dreamed of before.
